خَلِيفَةُ زُحَلَ.
يضرب للقثيل.
خاطَ عَلَيْنَا كِيسَا.
خُذِ اللِّصَّ قَبْلَ أنْ يأْخُذَكَ.

الخَصِيُّ ابْنُ مِائَةِ سَنَةٍ وَاسْتُهُ بِنْتُ عِشرِين.
اخْتِمْ بِالطِّينِ مَادَامَ رَطْباً.
الْخِلْمُ رَيْحَانَة، وَلَيْسَتْ بِقَهْرمانَة.
أَخْرِجِ الطَّمَعَ مِنْ قَلْبِكَ، تَحُلَّ القَّيْد مِنْ رِجْلِك.

وبعض هذه الأمثال، مثل «خليفة زحل» و**«الخضر معه وتد»** و**«الخوخ أسفل»**، لها دلالات خاصة في التراث العربي، ولذلك لا يوجد لها مقابل إنجليزي مطابق تمامًا، وإنما أقرب ما يؤدي المعنى والسيا
